Un terremoto de magintud 7.0 provocó un Tsunami y múltiples daños en Turquía y Grecia. Al momento se desconoce la cantidad de víctimas.
Según la información del Servicio Geológico de los Estados Unidos (USGS por sus siglas en inglés) , el epicentro del sismo se ubicó a unos 14 kilómetros de Néon Karlovásion, Grecia.
El Ministro de Medio Ambiente y Planificación Urbana de Turquía, Fatih Kurum, informó que hay personas atrapadas bajo los escombros en la ciudad de Esmirna.
